Darth Mortalis

An arrogant Sith Lord who overestimated his power

Description:
Bio:
p. Some 5000 years before Luke Skywalker changed the galaxy, Morg’o Drenn was born to a poor, unstable home on Tatooine. His twi’lek parents were spice addicts and cared only for their drug. Desperation was the hallmark of Drenn’s familial memories. So great was their desperation for their next fix that they sold their child to spice-traders when he was only five standard years old. Knowing that the Sith Order paid a premium for slaves, the youngling was immediately brought to the reborn Empire, now in it’s Golden Age, and became a Sith apprentice. p. He was naturally charismatic and quickly gained a following among the other apprentices, particularly the twi’leks, resulting in his lekku (the telepathic tail-like organs on his head) being severed by a disgruntled (and rather threatened) superior. This only caused his following to grow stronger and, after becoming the youngest being to become a Sith Lord, his following escalated into a cult, calling themselves the Mute Lekku. Drenn, having done little of note save for his quick ascension through the ranks, immediately took a Sith name for himself regardless: Darth Mortalis. Barely a year after attaining the rank of Sith Lord, and knowing that the Dark Council’s spies were closing in, he attempted a direct attack on Marka Ragnos, the Dark Lord of the Sith and was cut down with a single sweep of Ragnos’s incredibly powerful, self-made Sith sword.

Mortalis, being talented in Sith alchemy as well as sorcery, created a holocron to store his life essence upon his death. However, the purpose of this was unknown due to his lack of any real experience or knowledge gained during his brief time with the Sith Order. A few of his closest followers took the holocron and disappeared into to the far reaches of the galaxy and were forgotten to the Order for some 3000 years.
p. Now, with the Order and the Empire locked in a cold war teetering on the brink of all out aggression with the Republic and the Jedi, the Sith desperately seek answers by looking to their past. They’ve discovered many tombs both on their current home world of Korriban and in many corners of the galaxy and have performed exhaustive research on all the great, ancient Sith lords. One Inquisitor, relegated to the Sith archives, found the name of the Darth Mortalis mentioned only briefly in an obscure tome during his studies. The creation of this holocron was known to the Dark Council of his time due to the immense amount of concentration in the Force required to make such a thing, but was never found or even sought after.
p. The Dark Lords of the Sith, Darth Revan and Darth Malak, were informed and immediately sent two of their most promising apprentices to track down the artifact in hopes of either extracting information to help bring about victory for the Sith Empire, or to at least drain it’s Dark Side aura and use it to fuel their machinations…
